Question by ILikeCereal: ***Question about Mac and region 2 DVDs??***?
I am a HUGE fan of Mighty Boosh. Unfortunately, I live in the US where I can’t watch my Noel Fielding on my DVD player. I know the multi-regional DVD players EXSIST, but are very pricey… which I don’t really dig. BUT, I heard that my Macbook will play the Mighty Boosh DVDs. IS THIS LORE TRUE!?!? Is there any catch? I was super excited when I heard this. I just don’t want to buy them and not be able to watch because, I will probably be super depressed. HAHAHA. Help?

it is possible change the region codes on a mac..BUT it is a 1 time only deal you cant change back or anything and it kind of invalidates the warranty.. bite the bullet and buy multi region player instead as pretty sure there are cheap ones on the market these days

Actually, you can rip your DVD to your Mac, then you can play it with quicktime player on your mac. The ripping process will remove the region code limitation. If you want to know how to rip DVD, here is a guide for you
