This is a very good product in that the narrator is easily understood and and format is good. However, I bought this to use in Sunday School teaching and it has some quirks that are frustrating. It will not pause. When it is stopped then restarted, many times it skips back to the beginning of the dvd rather than resuming where it left off. I’ve tried it on several dvd players with same results. If the navigation errors are fixed it would be 5 star.

This is an awesome product! I am so much more in touch with God’s word by listening to it orally via Max McLean. My kids – ages 9, 7 and 3 are also much more into listening to God’s word through this product as well, including the Old Testament. God’s word has become so much more alive and clearer to me through listening. I’ve been a Christian for several years but when I hear some of the passages, it’s like I’m hearing for the first time and the Holy Spirit is really speaking to me through this. I highly recommend this product both for yourself and for your kids, to help get them interested in the Word of God. May God Bless you.

The DVD was a gift for a relative who is losing her sight. She was delighted with it.

I feel Bible DVDs are an excellent idea, this NIV is the second Bible DVD I have and as I try to go through the Bible 2X in a year I use mine almost everyday, the day seems incomplete if I have not read the Bible (or now Bible DVD). I listen for about 35 minutes on average, usually about enough for 6 – 10 chapters a day. The only difficulty I find is that sometimes the DVD freezes for a few seconds, then it flips on to the next chapter. Overall I think this is an excellent idea, all Christians should seek to go through the Bible at least once a year.
