You can connect the iPod to your television if you want to share the movie or video with more people.

VHS is a little rare now these days everthing is mostly DVD..But I don’t think that it’s going to get rid of the DVDs because not all people have Ipods. And also Ipod screens are small so if you wanted to watch it on a big screen say at home you won’t be able to. SO i say DVD is here to stay a while longer.

You can’t burn these movies or record them if that ios what you are asking. you watch them on the tiny little sceen or in some cases on your computer which loads it up with useless information after watch a few movies. movies eat up ram.

The iPod is not Mac’s only attempt to do away with smaller storage mediums sometime next year Mac will release a new product for your t.v. that will work something like Netflix and DVR. You will order a movie and then it will be stored to this medium. As far as the finer details of this product go I’m not sure but I would certainly keep my eyes open for this to hit the market sometime in the next year or so. But Mac would be hard pressed to get rid of DVD and VHS even though the latter is well on it’s way out the door. Truth be told that with the limited storage space on both the DVD and the VHS something will have to come out soon so that people are not over run with discs and tapes.

No way. HD-DVD and/or Blu-Ray will make this iPod video thing go byebye. I don’t want to saturate my Internet connection for hours waiting for a stupid video to download. I’ll go buy the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray and watch it that way.
